In an interview with Julia Gamolina of Madame Architect, Steinberg Hart Partner Katia McClain shared her experiences growing up in Mexico City and designing projects by following her instincts in her undergraduate architecture studies there. She shares how her travels helped inform the growth of her designs and how this effect can still be seen in her work today: Katia aims to “bring diverse perspectives to a consensus around the creation of one building”. Moreover, Katia expresses her hope to lead the way for more Latina architects and implores women to care about those around them, but also care about themselves.
