These performance spaces offer a wealth of options. The main proscenium theater can host Broadway’s touring shows, while the 350-seat Lawrence Theater is designed for spoken word, film events, and is often rented for community use.
The Atwood Concert Hall has a dramatic patterned ceiling of gold and green fins with bright red accents. The end product recalls the mysterious beauty of the Aurora Borealis associated with the northern lights unique to this latitude. The effect is both engaging and functional, as it focuses one’s attention on the stage even before the performance has begun.
The geometric pattern extends from the stage floor, curving up to the peak of the auditorium to create a dazzling visual performance that adds to the overall theatrical and acoustical experience.
