A 299-seat domed IMAX theater is the architectural and programmatic center of the facility and is served by an adjacent café, gift shop, and large public lobby/atrium. The lobby space features exhibit space, both stationary and suspended from the ceiling. The building also contains a variety of public meeting rooms and staff offices. As Executive Architect on the project, Steinberg Hart worked closely with Design Architect Legorreta. Steinberg Hart has continued to provide ongoing architectural services for the museum.
