Treehouse Hotel Sunnyvale, California
The Treehouse Hotel brand is founded on the adventurous ideas that inspire a child to build their “treehouse” and hang with real and imaginary friends. As the first US hotel for this unique group of boutique hotels, Treehouse Sunnyvale will fuse the creativity, innovation, and adventure of the Silicon Valley with the brand’s warm and whimsical ethos.

The project masterplan includes the repurposing of several existing structures and elevates a new six-story modular steel building constructed offsite, dramatically reducing environmental impact and waste. The site shares a property line with Google’s Sunnyvale Campus.
The majority of Treehouse Sunnyvale’s rooms provide private outdoor spaces, from ground floor patios to terraces on the upper floors that collectively convey the childlike wonder of taking refuge in a figurative “treehouse,” looking down at the real world below. This modular building’s 143 rooms embody the naturally comfortable, quirkily modern, down-to-earth aesthetic promulgated by the Treehouse brand with its intermittently-placed pitched roofs, large balcony windows, and wood-like vertical and horizontal privacy screens.
The experience connects guests and visitors both to the region’s rich agricultural past and the cutting-edge entrepreneurial spirit of modern-day Sunnyvale. Taking its design cues from the abundant fruit farms and orchards that grew up around Sunnyvale before high-tech firms put down roots here, Treehouse Hotel Sunnyvale will offer visitors and guests a perfect place to relax and restore.
