Steinberg Hart Promotes CFO Frederick Braggs to Partner

LOS ANGELES (August 20, 2020) – International architecture firm Steinberg Hart is pleased to announce that Frederick Braggs, Assoc. AIA, has been named Partner. The promotion comes just two years after Braggs joined the firm as Principal and CFO, reflecting the outstanding contributions he has made helping to grow the firm and enhance key financial and administrative functions. In addition to the positive impact Braggs has had on the firm’s operations, he has been integral in influencing its culture and helping to drive greater levels of employee retention and satisfaction.

“Frederick has been an incredible addition to the firm and represents everything we look for in a Partner,” said David Hart, President and CEO of Steinberg Hart. “In just two years, he has become an integral part our leadership team and a trusted advisor to me. His comprehensive understanding of the architecture profession grounds his sound decision-making, and his long-range perspective guides his considered business recommendations.  Frederick earns the respect and trust of everyone he works with through his collaborative approach, and the way he is able to broaden their outlook on and understanding of critical project issues. He has continually raised the bar for himself and for our team, strengthening our culture and supporting our ongoing growth and development.”

Braggs joined the firm in 2018 to focus on finance, and his skills, flexibility and early contributions led him to take on oversight and support of other key functions including human resources, risk management, compliance and contract negotiation, among others. Braggs’ diverse background and experience enabled him to quickly identify key areas for investment and establish improved protocols to advance Steinberg Hart’s financial goals while driving greater efficiencies and employee satisfaction.

Having joined Steinberg Hart at a time of growth and expansion, adding offices in San Diego, New York, and most recently Austin, Braggs has been instrumental in helping to seamlessly integrate those offices with the overall firm. Throughout his tenure, Braggs has had an outsized impact on Steinberg Hart and its employees, implementing a profit-sharing plan, improving its 401k plan, updating its PTO policies, and most recently working with the human resources to help the firm and its employees to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I joined Steinberg Hart for the firm’s excellent reputation and have found the opportunity incredibly gratifying, as it has enabled me to combine all the skills I’ve learned over a career in finance and operations into one comprehensive role,” said Braggs. “Good design is about creating harmony between people and place – I believe that same philosophy applies to managing the complexities of an evolving business, where every operational and structural decision directly impacts people’s lives.”

Braggs is recognized across the A/E industry as an accomplished financial professional and exceptional colleague. Prior to joining Steinberg Hart, he served as Vice President, Design & Construction Finance at Westfield, where he worked closely with construction and design executives to provide oversight and foster holistic and strategic planning for its flagship projects. Before that, Braggs held a series of financial leadership roles at Gensler, HOK, and AECOM.

Braggs holds an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Government and Politics from Louisiana State University. He is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
