LOS ANGELES, CA (June 21, 2019) – Steinberg Hart was honored at the 49th Annual Los Angeles Architectural Awards, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) on June 21 at the Beverly Hilton. Steinberg Hart received the Housing Award, which recognized Vision on Wilshire and the whole project teamfor exemplifying how great design can enhance the way we live in L.A. LABC’s Architectural Awards laud innovative, stunning architectural achievements that focus on sustainable building practices, dense urban living, and transit-oriented communities.
“The 2019 Architectural Awards was our most exceptional yet, with world-class entries and designs that push boundaries and create spaces that foster connection and community,” said Mary Leslie, President of LABC. “This year’s award winners exemplify how architecture can elicit joy, enhance social interaction and promote meaningful experiences where people live work and play.”
Vision on Wilshire was selected from a competitive pool of hundreds of projects running the gamut from urban micro-living units to beachfront hotels. The 150-unit community is the first development of its kind in the mid-city Los Angeles neighborhood with design-forward urban living combined with world-class amenities and street-level retail space. Through the planning and design of Vision on Wilshire, Steinberg Hart’s design team positioned the building and shaped the residences to expertly frame unrivaled panoramic views of rolling treetops and the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the San Gabriel mountains, the Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood Sign, Pacific Ocean along Santa Monica’s coastline up to Long Beach, and beyond to the downtown skyline.
