The Orchard, a transformational 606,000SF mixed-use residential and commercial project with Westbank Corp in Downtown San Jose, was approved by the San Jose Planning Commission today. Designed in collaboration with James K.M. Cheng Architects Inc., the Orchard will be designed to LEED Platinum standards, feature sustainable and natural design in an urban setting, and pay homage to California’s iconic mid-century modern design.

“This project represents the past and the future,” Steinberg Hart Partner Ernie Yamane said. “It honors, I think, the history of our valley, and the agricultural heritage that we have.”
