Pete is a licensed architect with over 18 years of professional experience. Drawing from his experience of historic buildings while studying abroad in Rome, Italy, Pete spent two years following graduation working with a specialist in historic preservation. His early exposure to historic preservation resulted in the development of solid technical expertise through extensive research into material systems and first-hand observation of material systems failure.
Prior to joining Steinberg Hart, Pete spent twelve years at RJC Architects where he utilized his technical expertise to design large-scale, public works facilities for clients that care deeply about life cycle costs. He was the project designer for the award-winning Campus Commons at San Diego County Operations Center and was responsible for the overall site design of the entire Operations Center, one of the largest public/private partnerships in the history of the region. Pete has also served as project manager for the $65 M Andrew Mills Hall at Naval Base Coronado and has acted as project designer for numerous facilities at the new Naval Base Coronado Coastal Campus and at the Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command.
The son of an architect, Pete has spent his entire life immersed in architecture and construction. He has an extraordinary professional versatility that allows him to act in a leadership role at any project phase from conceptual design through design development and construction drawings and construction contract administration.
