For the last 20 years, Delia has created civic and higher education projects that have transformed and enriched campuses and communities. Her training in critical thinking and artmaking, along with her ability to synthesize ideas into buildings, is evident in her work during all phases of a project from the earliest conceptual discussions to the resolution of complex details during construction. Delia’s projects are characterized by their striking forms, inventive use of materials, and wholehearted commitment to sustainable design strategies.
Delia is a licensed architect in NY State and has been a member of the AIA since 2002. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and has managed the certification process for over half a dozen cultural and academic buildings. In 2014, Delia was a panelist for the ACUI Annual Conference session “Get Your Union Moving” promoting Active Design and Wellness. She has mentored over ten aspiring architects through NCARB and is a member of and contributor to the AIANY Cultural Committee and a participant in the AIANY Women In Architecture Committee.
